What
are Home, School and Community Partnerships?
They are about
involving the home and the community in the education
of our young;
tapping the resources of parents and others in
the interests of our children;
creating a positive environment for nurturing partnerships
in education and sharing the fruits of our labour.
Why are Home, School and Community Partnerships useful?
This tripartite partnership
reminds students that they are not alone in their
search for knowledge and excellence;
enables parents to get a better understanding of
school goals, and develop a closer relationship with the
teachers and Principal;
provides teachers with invaluable support in the
process of educating our young;
enriches the school environment and reinforces
its mission;
allows the community to contribute to the life
of the school and to establish lasting and meaningful
links.
Who are involved?
ALL STAKEHOLDERS - students, parents, teachers, Principals,
the Ministry of Education, School Advisory/Management
Committee, Alumni Association, business/industry and the
community - have their role to play in the partnership
process. All are responsible for the well-being of our
children.
